Nicolas is an accomplished hotelier from Lausanne, Switzerland. He has been now in China since 1999 and is active member of E.C.H.M.E.C (Europe-China Hotel Management Experts Council).

Part of the team who received the first Five stars recognition for Deluxe Resort in China, the Gloria Resort Yalong Bay, he than opened the Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Sanya Bay, in Hainan, contributing to the development of this now popular beach destination.

Nicolas joined the Viking River Cruises Sino-Swiss joint venture since the first year in China, and it is now the third time that he is proudly holding the five stars board, after receiving it last year for VRC first ship, the Viking Century Star.
